American President or American Idol?
Thankfully, at least four times as many people considered it more important to vote in the 2000 presidential election than went to the figurative ballot box to decide the American Idol winner. Then again, over 24 million people took the time to cast a vote in the television series based around musical Darwinism.
That’s not too good of a sign.
The most interesting part would be to find out how many of those individuals - at least the ones legally allowed to vote - did not actually rank among the 105 million people who voted in the most recent presidential election.
Apparently, there is some controversy surrounding the American Idol outcome, since only approximately 130,000 votes separated the two finalists. Please insert your own Florida recount joke here.
